When I was a child I really wanted to become a pediatrician because of the different medical issues I experienced, but after becoming mentally ill for myself in high school, I began to understand that a lot of our physical health is impacted by our mental health. From this lens, I learned to see how treating my mental illness in many different ways (including simply having fun!) not only helped me become a healthier and better version of myself, for myself, but for those around me too. This is what ultimately motivates me as a social worker and therapist.
