About us
Hi, I'm Katherine!
Katherine Kaltenheuser, LMSW
Therapist
What I do at Aspire.
I have been working at Aspire since 2022. I am a clinical therapist working with both clients and families, but primarily offer individual therapy. I have presented during portions of clinical meetings and have done case presentations at continuing education trainings. I coordinate care with other clinicians and med providers as well to identify and address client needs.
Why I became a Therapist.
I have always had a passion for helping others and supporting individuals in their own journey of healing. The lack of mental health services versus the growing mental health need in the world has captivated my attention, particularly after major events like the pandemic. I began by studying psychology as I have always felt it important to expand my knowledge on human behavior to inform my career and life. This has always been an area of interest for me. My introduction to social work lead to a lot of positive change and growth in my passion of mental health. Social work prompted reflection of how larger systems and intersections of identity contribute to mental health, and the importance of providing accessible services. This lead me to become a clinical social worker.
Why I chose to work at Aspire.
I choose Aspire, because I receive great support from my colleagues, supervisor and administrative staff. Aspire provides me with wonderful and informative training on a wide array of clinical issues. I continue to learn so much from Aspire's ongoing trainings. Aspire is very collaborative and efficient in it's approach to address issues. Aspire allows me to support people regardless of their background or financial situation. Aspire has been a great place for me to continue in my professional development.
My Hobbies and Interests.
My hobbies include music; I love to sing and play guitar. I am planning to continue learning other instruments as well. I love camping as well and enjoying outdoor activities, like canoeing.
