About us

Hi, I'm Sam!

Samuel Kane-Gerard, LGPC

Therapist

What I do at Aspire.

I first joined Aspire in August 2023 as a graduate intern after a classmate recommended the center (shoutout to Sarah Rees!). I worked with clients in individual and couples therapy and quickly felt connected to Aspire’s mission and supportive environment. I stayed on for two years to continue working with clients I had built relationships with, and returned as a full-time therapist in October 2025..

Why I became a Therapist.

I became a therapist because of what I’ve seen therapy do for myself and the people around me. I genuinely enjoy listening to people and learning about their experiences, and I find it rewarding to support clients as they explore challenges, discover new perspectives, and build on their strengths.

Why I chose to work at Aspire.

I chose Aspire because of its welcoming and compassionate environment. From my very first day, I felt supported as both a clinician and a learner. Aspire encourages curiosity, growth, and authentic connection, which creates a space where clients feel heard and valued—and that’s why I’m proud to be part of this team.

My Hobbies and Interests.

Outside of work, I enjoy playing and recording music and play with a few local bands. I also coach and play on a men’s soccer team. Additionally, in the last few years I've been converted to a cat person and now share my home with two cats (and my wife)!
